“Doomsday Noises speaks to those looking for the social bullhorn of alt-rock music. Embracing a musical transition to the modern music scene, combined with socially aware topics, and contemporary grooves, all five band members shine on their new release. By capitalizing on their robust careers and combining their talents into a new collective, Sons of Silver has emerged as the new supergroup of the present-day” – Maximum Ink
As the band continues to hone their combustible musical chemistry their collective years of experience makes them a force to be reckoned with. Sons of Silver is frontman Peter Argyropoulos of Pete RG, original Pearl Jam drummer and recent Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Dave Krusen, Candlebox bassist Adam Kury, former Skillet guitarist Kevin Haaland, and keyboardist and engineer Brina Kabler.
“That’s how you kick an album off, grab the listener and leave a lasting impression in their mind. Rude Awakenings comes charging out of the speakers all staccato grooves, low-slung, foot on the monitor guitar riffs and a master class in musical dynamics” — Dancing About Architecture
The rock n’ bluesy “Rude Awakenings” highlights Argyropoulos’ soulful vocals with a backdrop of rip-roaring riffs, bluesy rhythms, and provocatively poetic lyrics. “It really highlights each of our influences from the rockabilly rhythm section to the punk-bluesy guitars, to the Stonesy woo-hoos,” says frontman Argyropoulos,
Sons of Silver proudly carries out a rock ‘n’ roll tradition that stirs up discourse and much-needed dialogue.
