Anita Herczog started learning to play music on the living room piano around age 4, from her father, Ted Herczog, who played marimba in The Versatiles, a popular 3-piece Jazz Combo for 30+ years, starting in the 1950s! Her formal piano lessons began in the second grade and continued through highschool, where her songwriting began. After a few years devoted to raising a family, Anita joined the local "weekend warriors'', and for two decades played keys and sang harmonies in several cover bands (Tymz Up, Shooter, Off the Record, The Band Intense) before deciding to concentrate on her Originals. Anita built herself a band of a rotating collection of accomplished Musicians and has performed for more than a decade as anitakeys and anitakeys & friends. Anita released 20/20- her fifth full-length CD of original tunes- in December 2022, and performs her Jazzy Pop Music all around the Cleveland area. anitakeys is also heard on local college radio stations and can be found at www.anitakeys.com and online on all digital music platforms!
